I bought this with 3 criteria in mind:

1. Have some sort of redundancy in place so I don't lose any of my pictures and video clips.

2. Have the ability to share them over the home network.

3. Have the ability to stream the pictures and videos to my XBox 360 so my family can watch them on the living room TV.

I paired it with a couple of Seagate Barracudas (ST31000340AS). Installation was quick and simple. [..]Everything worked out of the box with the exception of streaming to the 360. A firmware patch (from 1.00 to 1.01) fixed it.

This is day 4. Will update this if anything changes.
